CLAPHAM REPORT

Our latest inspection report for Clapham includes the following mentions about our nursery:

“Children are warmly welcomed into the nursery (…). They settle well and form strong bonds with the staff who care for them. Children play in a safe, comfortable environment. The garden is well used in all weathers. Children go on trips to local parks where they can further extend their physical skills.

Staff carefully plan a high-quality environment that supports children to lead their own learning. They confidently choose experiences from a range of well-resourced activities. Children of all ages regularly engage with messy play activities. (…) Staff establish clear boundaries to support children's good behaviour.

Children are respectful and kind. (…) Children are helpful. For example, they lay tables at mealtimes and tidy up when they finish playing. They learn to be tolerant and patient. Children establish friendships, have fun and make good progress in their learning.

Parents speak highly of the care their children receive at this nursery. Typically, they say that babies are 'handled beautifully' and their emotional needs are fully met. Staff keep parents informed about their child's day and progress.

WIMBLEDON REPORT

Our latest inspection report for Wimbledon includes the following mentions about our nursery:

“Staff are caring and friendly. There is a well established key-person system, which helps children to form strong relationships. Children show they are happy and secure in their environment.”

“Staff regularly share information with parents about children's progress and seek information about their child's care and interests at home. They fully value parent involvement throughout their child's time at the nursery. (…) children follow picture instructions and successfully complete construction models. They learn to work together, share and show respect for one another.”

“Staff take time to settle children into the nursery and make sure they meet children's individual care needs well from the start. Children learn how to keep themselves safe. (…) Staff support children to develop healthy lifestyles effectively. For example, they provide nutritious meals and discuss the benefits of eating well.

Children develop their understanding of the wider world. For example, they enjoy outings into the local community, such as to the park. Pre-school children show a good understanding of why and how objects are recycled and think about what the new material could be used for.”

“All children develop the skills they need in readiness for the next stage in their learning, including their move on to school. They show growing independence (…) Pre-school children learn to write their name and use writing tools with good control. Toddlers learn to use words as they engage in play. Babies become excited and have fun, such as clapping their hands during rhyme times.”
